The Crested Cream Legbar are a medium sized bird, good foragers, sweet temperament and great producers of beautiful pastel sky blue to teal-colored eggs. They produce large numbers of eggs and are rarely broody. The hens produce a rather large egg for the size of bird. In 1952 a study was conducted in England with seven Cream Legbar hens for one year, on average they each laid 260 eggs. Cream Legbars are an auto sexing breed which we find so appealing as I'm sure our customers will also enjoy. It's very difficult to find a bird that produces a pastel-colored egg that can also be easily sexed. When placing your order you can choose the sex of the chicks, we have only 3 breeds on the farm that we can sex as a chick We've had this lovely bird on our farm now for around 3 years and I must they've made a great addition. This line of Legbar is from Greenfire Farms and is the Jill Rees line. Jill placed 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, in the UK with her Cream Legbar. Jill also won best overall in the auto sexing category. This means Jill has the first Cream Legbar to secure a spot on the championship row at the PCGB National show. We're happy to say we have the Jill Rees line.

Pullets are shipped out around 7 weeks of age. We can fit 4 pullets in a box during the cooler months, however you can order as few as 1. Keep in mind that the hatching and growing process takes time, so please be patient while we do our work and remember we're working with animals. We ship in order of payment received. We text the day the pullets ship out and we can work around your blackout dates.

Included in the shipping cost is a box required by the Post Office along with the express mail fee.
