Farm Pick Up Of Poultry: Please don't show up to the farm without calling. We don't always have available chicks or started pullets to purchase, so please call before you make a trip to the farm. If you're wanting to pick up chicks or pullets from the farm you first need to place an order from the website. When you get to the check out and pay for your poultry you can choose the option of farm pick up. Placing an order gets you on the list. We fill all orders in order of payment received. We will give you a call when your poultry is ready to be picked up. We'll set up a day and time that will work best for you and us. If you're picking up chicks, we will have a box for you to transport your babies in. If you're picking up started pullets, please bring a pet taxi or just a cardboard box with air holes cut in the box. When you arrive at the farm you will see a small STOP sign on the left side of the driveway, stop there and wait for us to come to you. If we don't come to you within a few minutes go ahead and give us a call 618-643-5602. We'll bring your poultry to you and we're happy to answer any questions that you might have.
Farm Visits / Tours: I know how interesting it must be to arrive at the farm in hopes of getting the farm tour. I would love to show it off, because it is a neat place. However, that isn't safe for our poultry. A person could unintentionally bring something to our farm that could totally destroy every chicken that we have. There are pathogens that can be carried on your clothing, hair, and in your nose that can easily pass to our poultry, from there it would pass from bird to bird. This is our livelihood and it's extremely important that we protect it. The only way that we can ensure that our poultry stays healthy, is to allow no one near it.
